Introducing Information:

IRAD 55 EC is a non-systemic insecticide of organophosphorus and synthetic pyrethroids group  with contact and stomach action. The product is used to control chewing and sucking insect. Its mixture of two chemicals namely Chlorpyrifos 50% & Cypermethrin 5% EC.

Mode of Action

Chlorpyrifos is a non-systemic insecticide designed to be effective by direct contact, ingestion, and inhalation.

Cypermethrin is a composite non-systemic pyrethroid; a broad spectrum, non-cumulative insecticide; and, a fast-acting neurotoxin with good contact and stomach action. Cypermethrin acts as a stomach and contact insecticide. Also exhibits antifeeding action.

How to work

Chlorpyrifos affects the nervous system by inhibiting the breakdown of acetylcholine (ACh), a neurotransmitter. When insects are exposed, chlorpyrifos binds to the active site of the cholinesterase (ChE) enzyme, which prevents breakdown of ACh in the synaptic cleft. The resulting accumulation of ACh in the synaptic cleft causes overstimulation of the neuronal cells, which leads to neurotoxicity and eventually death.\

Cypermethrin

A fast-acting neurotoxin with good contact and stomach action. Cypermethrin acts as a stomach and contact insecticide. Also exhibits antifeeding action.

Antidotes

Poisoning is treated with atropine and simultaneously with oximes such as Pralidoxime

Potato, Cotton, Tea, Bean, Mango, Brinjal and others Vegetables.

Target Pest

Cutworm, Hopper, Aphid and Jassid and all other sucking pest of vegetables.
