Introducing Information:

Genedin 10 G is a granular Insecticide of Diazinon group, a colorless to dark brown liquid, is a thiophosphoric acid ester developed in 1952 by Ciba-Geigy a Swiss chemical company (later Novartis and then Syngenta). It is a non-systemic organophosphate insecticide.

Mode of Action

Genedin 10 G functions as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor. Genedin 10 G is a contact insecticide which kills insects by altering normal neurotransmission within the nervous system of the insect.

How to work

This Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (AChE) into Choline and acetate group. Hence paralysis of the insect cause died.

Atropine is an emergency antidotes of Diazinon
