Introducing Information:
Arofet 500 EC is prepared with the active ingredient known as “Pretilachlor”. Introduce by Ciba-Geigy AG (now Syngenta AG) in 1988. Its work very successfully when apply within 3-10 days after DAT (before weed seed emergence). Its act as selected herbicide to control annual grasses, Broad-leaf weeds and sedges.

Function

Mode of Action
Selective herbicide. It is taken up readily by the hypocotyls, mesocotyls and coleoptiles, and to a lesser extent, by the roots of germinating weeds.
Biochemistry
Cell division inhibitor, more recent research suggests chloroacetamides may Inhibits synthesis of very long chain fatty acids.
Antidotes
No Specific antidote is known. Apply symptomatic therapy.
