Introducing Information:
Genezeb 80 WP is prepared with the active ingredient known as “Mancozeb”. This product is manufactured with combination of Manganese (Mn) & Zinc Salt (Zn). The ISO definition is “A complex of Zinc & Maneb containing 20% of Manganese & 2.25% of Zinc. It can be used for foliage application on appearance of disease. It may be used as a seed treatment. It is widely used against Early & Late Blight of Potato & Tomato.

Function
Genezeb 80 WP can Control of many fungal diseases in wide range of field crops fruits, nuts, vegetables, ornaments, etc. Also used in downy mildew & black rot of vines, downy mildew of cucurbits, scab of potato, sigatoka of banana, melanose of citrus.
Mode of Action
Genezeb 80 WP is a Contact Fungicide with protective action.
Biochemistry
Reacts with, and inactivates, the sulfhydryl groups of amino acids and enzymes of fungal cells, resulting in disruption of lipid metabolism, respiration & production of ATP.
Antidote
Treatment according to symptom, no known specific treatment. An Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 1.0 gm intravenously can be given. Treat the patient symptomatically and supportively.
